Ohio Update: Adopting Rules on Access to Public Records Constitutional, Panel Says (3/15/08) Toledo Blade

Great news for those conducting background checks in the state of Ohio. The Ohio Supreme Court has ruled that those who seek to hide public records would have to petition a judge in order to do so. The court also protected certain identifiers on public records which allows those performing background checks to confirm that such records belong to the subjects they are checking.
